R.Kelly The Septuagenarian

Maybe there is some justice in the world. 75 year old filmmaker Roman Polanski was denied his request to have his 1977 criminal case of child rape moved out of Los Angeles. Polanski's lawyers wanted the case dismissed because they felt the LA court system was biased and claims judicial and prosecutorial misconduct.

Back in 1977 Polanski plead guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor (other wise known as raping a child.) He was originally charged with rape by the use of drugs, sodomy, perversion, lewd and lascivious act upon a child under 14 and furnishing a controlled substance, but by pleading guilty to the unlawful intercourse charge, the rest of the charges were dropped. He fled to France before he could be sentenced for the rape. If Polanski returns to the United States, he would be taken into custody and face his sentence.

Another hearing is scheduled for January 21st but the DA office says that if Polanski doesn't attend, then the hearing should be canceled.
